We are looking for a Techincal Support Engineer to support our Technical and sales divisions. Constantly in touch with Sales and Technical Division, the perfect candidate has both empathy and critical judgment. 

At YK-Robotics we study, design and develop advanced robotic applications for manufacturing clients currently located in Italy and Spain. As a robotic engineer it is expected for you to work in close collaboration with our project managers in the design and optimization of the processes to be automated, the design and development of the software and the commissioning of the robotic cells at our client locations. All our projects embed our developing platform, based on ROS2, that allows to configure, program and monitor the automated processes rapidly and efficiently. 

In addition, your work as a robotic engineer will allow you to collaborate with the product team to include new marketable innovative functionalities to simplify and optimize the usage of advanced robotic systems (e.g. optimization of trajectory planning, potential-field-based strategies,…). 

Ultimately, you will contribute to the efficiency of our business by providing your skills and ideas working with the whole team.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to customers and troubleshoot issues related to our robotic platform. 
  • Collaborate with the development team to diagnose and resolve hardware and software problems. 
  • Document technical solutions and create user-friendly guides and FAQs. 
  • Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and provide timely assistance. 
  • On-site assistance and customer support 
  • Provide technical trainings to sales teams; 
  • Work with Product Management and Sales teams to feedback on issues with current products and provide input around new products; 
  • Partecipate in product development activities 

Requirements

 

  • A bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years in Robotics, Computer Science or MathematicsPrevious experiences in customer support 
  • Willing to travel 
  • 3 years experience in Python programming 
  • Knowledge in C++ 
  • Experienced in ROS/ROS2 
  • Confident with object oriented programming 
  • Versatility and Curiosity (open to learn new tools and programming languages) 
  • Passionate about innovation and in bringing automation into SMEs 
  • Great attitude in team-working  
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail 
  • English proficiency, at least B2 

Nice to have

  • A Degree in Engineering, Robotics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering 
  • Previous working experience software products and support 
  • Solid experience matured in adjacent markets and in similar positions. 
  • Excellent IT skills (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and Customer/Sales orientation. 
  • Working-in-a-startup experience
