We are looking for an DevOps Engineer to enter in our Product Development Team as a responsible for creating, monitoring and maintain automation pipelines (testing, building, integration and deploy), within the defined guidelines and according to the business needs, to increase the quality of our software products and deployment. 

At YK-Robotics we study, design and develop advanced robotic applications for manufacturing clients currently located in Italy and Spain. As a robotic engineer it is expected for you to work in close collaboration with our project managers in the design and optimization of the processes to be automated, the design and development of the software and the commissioning of the robotic cells at our client locations. All our projects embed our developing platform, based on ROS2, that allows to configure, program and monitor the automated processes rapidly and efficiently. 

In addition, your work as a robotic engineer will allow you to collaborate with the product team to include new marketable innovative functionalities to simplify and optimize the usage of advanced robotic systems (e.g. optimization of trajectory planning, potential-field-based strategies,…). 

Ultimately, you will contribute to the efficiency of our business by providing your skills and ideas working with the whole team.

Main Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage the continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for our robotic platform’s software. 
  • Collaborate with software development and IT teams to automate deployment, monitoring, and scaling of applications. 
  • Ensure the security, availability, and performance of our cloud-based and on-premises infrastructure. 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment-related issues in a timely manner. 
  • Stay updated with DevOps best practices, tools, and technologies to optimize the development and deployment process. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. 
  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role. 
  • Strong knowledge of DevOps principles and practices. 
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell. 
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes). 
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Understanding of version control systems (Git) and CI/CD concepts.
  • Familiarity with GitLab
  • Great attitude in team-working  
  • Excellent verbal communication skills  
  • Attention to detail
  • English proficiency, at least B2 

Nice to have

  • A Degree in Robotics Engineering 
  • Relevant certifications like AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, etc 
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet
  • Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, ELK stack). 
  • Previous work in a robotics or automation environment
  • Familiarity with security practices and tools for securing cloud infrastructure 
  • Working-in-a-startup/scaleup experience
